Live Our Dreams

Get to Know Us

Welcome to Wynbrook Equestrian Centre! We are located in Vars, Ontario and feel very lucky to be able to live & work on 100 acres with our dogs & horses. It's a little piece of heaven.

If you are new to our website, we are the Lalondes' Joel, Lisa, Emily, Rosie, Nemo, Arlo & Ben. We began our journey into the horse world ten years ago when Emily began riding and we all fell in love with the horses. The peacefulness that came over us whenever we were at the barn or around the horses was undeniable.

Fast forward to June 1st, 2020, the beginning of our farm ownership and building a family business that we can be proud of for generations to come. We want to introduce our passion for horses and riding to young people, adults and everyone in between. Thanks for joining us on this amazing journey!

Erin O'Rielly

Erin was born and raised in Newfoundland. She began riding in summer camps at the age of 7 and horses have been a major part of her life ever since. She has her own horse named Sonny, who she competed with on the local circuit in Newfoundland in the hunter division for many years growing up. She has been instructing riding lessons for over 12 years and completed her Equestrian Canada Instructor certification in September of 2016.

After completing a bachelor of recreation from Memorial University in 2017, she spent the next two years travelling back and forth to California training under a dressage coach. During this time, she also became certified as a saddle fitter through Peter Horobin Saddlery.

In January of 2019, Erin moved back to Newfoundland and accepted a position as Program Director and Head Instructor of Rainbow Riders - a therapeutic riding centre near her hometown. She has spent the last three and a half years running their program and has accomplished much in her time there, including become a certified therapeutic riding instructor, leading their competitive team to win the Equestrian Canada Para-Dressage Highpoint Centre in 2021, and being awarded the Andrea Gillies Outstanding Instructor Award by the Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association in 2022. Now, Erin is very excited to get back to her hunter/jumper roots and cannot think of a better place to do so than at Wynbrook!
