Wynbrook Farm was first established in 1985 by owners Gary and Joanne Brooks as a small but professional riding school. Over the years, Wynbrook Farm has had the pleasure of developing many students into well balanced riders with top notch riding skills and general stable management knowledge. Initially the riding school catered to recreational riders and their introduction to competitive riding at local schooling shows. But Wynbrook Farm has grown and expanded it's horizons over the past 25 years with riders winning top placings at provincial and national finals.
In 1991, the 3 yr. old Canadian Sport Horse filly "Imagination" captured top honours at the Toronto Royal Winter Fair winning the Lieutenant Governor's Cup. This was a filly bred and trained by Joanne and Gary at Wynbrook Farm and later shown over fences by Joanne before being sold to American trainer, Paul Valiere. Many top sport horses were bred at Wynbrook Farm in the 10 years since then, but the riding school soon took too much of Joanne's time and the last of the brood mares was sold in 2008.
In 2004, Joanne and Gary's daughter, Taylor Brooks made her first Royal Winter Fair appearance qualifying in the medium pony division with Beaverwoods Echo. The pair were very successful in the following 2 years before Taylor outgrew the ponies, returning to Toronto in 2008 aboard Monaco in the Junior Hunter division as well as the Jump Canada Medal class.
